AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The aim of History teaching here is to stémulal the students' interest and understanding about the lif of people who lived in the past. We teach students of History a sense of chronology and through this, they develop a sense of identity and a cultural under-standing based on thien historical heritage.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

upon completion of the undergraduate Honours degree program in History at the Department of Histor Students will be able to achieve following aim of History teaching.

• To faster among students an interest in the past and to develop an understanding that enables them to enjoy all that History has to offer.
• To enable students to know about significant events in Indian and world History and to appreciate how things have changed over time.
• To develop a sense of chronology.
• To help students understand society and the place within it.
• To develop among students the skill of enquiry, investigation, analysis, evaluation and presentation.
