About the Department

In response to the perceived demand for quality education at the undergraduate level the Department Of Library and Information Science has been established in Mirza Ghalib College, Gaya with a commitment to impart library science education at this centre of learning. It is useless to emphasize the importance of imparting high quality professional education as a specialized function direction towards creating a breed of professional library management experts imperative in this era.
One year full-time Bachelor Of Library and Information Science course, a professional course that is meant to be terminal course in itself , seeks to turn enthusiastic and bright youngsters into competent library managers well- equipped to handle the challenges of the real world.

Thus the entire classroom experience is easily related to the world outside.
